Seed reserve accumulation: yield and quality

Main research interests

My research concerns the regulation of fatty acid metabolism in higher plants and embraces transcriptional regulation of genes, post-translational fine-tuning of enzymatic activities, and biotechnological aspects linked with oil accumulation in seed tissues. Together with my collaborators, I develop original approaches aimed at deciphering the molecular mechanisms that plants utilize to regulate the production and uses of fatty acids in various developmental and environmental contexts.
